Why You Should Join the LHS PTSA

The overall purpose of the PTA is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

By joining the Lanier High School PTSA, you are partnering with other parents, teachers and students to become a part of the nation's largest volunteer advocacy organization.  With your Lanier membership, you are automatically enrolled as a member of the Area II Gwinnett County Council of PTAs, the Georgia PTA, and the National PTA.

The Lanier PTSA provides support for students, teachers, and staff and the Lanier community through volunteer efforts of its members.

Area II PTA Scholarship
Solely funded through local council membership and council contributions, Area II is proud to present eight (8) $750.00 Scholarships to deserving high school students who have successfully met or exceeded the State of Georgia graduation requirements, and plan to attend an accredited  two or four year college or university.  Only students in Parent Teacher and Student Associations (PTSA) within Area II are eligible to apply.
The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students who have successfully completed high school who are interested in furthering their education in a college or university to prepare themselves for careers of their choice with the goal of having these individuals maintain their support and commitment to the advancement of education.  This is a one-time, non-renewable scholarship.

Are you the parent of a Lanier senior? Consider giving them the "gift" of a PTSA membership which will automatically make them eligible to apply.
