Welcome to the Lanier High School PTSA Home Page.
We cannot believe another school year has begun. The 3rd year at LHS. Our first group of freshman are now juniors and so the enrollment number continues to rise. During the summer, the LHS PTSA met to get ready for a brand new school year. The first event happened before the classroom doors open, it's when the PTSA/PTAs from the cluster get together and host a breakfast for many of the faculty and staff of all the schools in the cluster. We couldn't pull off such a great even without the help of Publix and LHS.
For the first 9 years of schooling, PTA/PTSAs have a fundraising event of some magnitude in order to pay for everything that is giving to the school classrooms. When your child gets to high school, there are plenty of groups that ask for your monitary support and fundraising effort but the PTSA only asks for one thing. That is that every parent, child and faculty member join the PTSA. We are asking that everyone step up and provide your support. You are not required to volunteer if you join but you time is greatly appreciated.
Usually after the request for money is made, the next question - before a payment is given - is "what am I getting for my money". That's a great question. On the school level, we will be providing technology for the classrooms and our goal is to provide 1-2 scholarships. Your money not only supports the school but it also provides support to your children on the state and national level. Volunteers at both levels fight for the rights and best interest of our children daily. There are also discounts associated with your membership.
Please be sure to join the PTSA via meal pay or at open house.
